David French continues and extends his recent body of work, begun in 2005, with this exhibition of oil on wood constructions/paintings. He brings the modernism of Paul Klee, Piet Mondrian, and Frank Lloyd Wright into the 21st century with his geometry and color. Originally a painter, Mr. French explored sculpture of carved and painted wood objects in the 1990’s. These new works are somewhere in between and a vibrant and beautiful place to be.
