Curated by Bay Area Artist Laurie Reid, Bay Area Bazaar is a collection of work by over 50 Bay Area artists. Rather than gathering a group of artists working in a particular way or sharing a common theme, Reid has assembled a group based on friendship and time spent working together—either as students, colleagues or theatre/writing cohorts.
The line-up includes such Bay Area notables as Kathryn Van Dyke, Todd Hido and Kota Ezawa as well as some luminaries-to-be including Wei Weng, Matthew Gerring and Daniel Ross. The show features painting, drawing, sculpture, video and photography as well as many hybrids of these genres.
